Lets light a fire that burns up hate

Let it burn strong before it’s too late.

Hold onto change even if it’s small,

Keep the flame burning high – it might someday help us all. Continue reading Light A Fire That Burns Up Hate

A Wonderful Woman

She’s a wonderful woman – that’s all I can say,

Let’s us make our mistakes and find our own way.

No protests when we make our housework easy,

With routines and ideas that would drive her crazy.

Lets Accept That We Don’t See

122 ancient-2026111_1280

Lets not be like the blind man who has met with the elephant,

Who knows just one part but thinks the knowledge of others is irrelevant.

Lets not be offended when their way is not our choice. Continue reading Lets Accept That We Don’t See

Can we look at the man who hammers his wife,

And not be the support that bolsters his fake pride. Continue reading Can we look at the rapist?

Change the woman, to change the man

I visit my friend and she’s at the table,

Feeding her son who is perfectly able,

To eat on his own. He’s almost a teen!

I wonder why it is that she just can’t see.

With a spoon in her hand and love in her heart,

This is her way of bringing him up.

I loved you

I loved you, so I never said no.

I wanted you to have order in your life,
So I cleaned up after you.

Now, you’re growing up and I can’t face the tantrums.

You don’t have the ability to take the knocks that life will give you,
And you don’t have the independence you need to stand up on your own.
I’m fed up. Continue reading I loved you
